Drones, Not Flying Cars — Tutorial
Nothing in this topic makes sense except in the light of swapping mechanical complexity for electronic bandwidth — and then hitting energy, radio, and rules together. The family name “drone” is too wide to invent with. The driveway flying car is a different product. The honest 2026 job is a small uncrewed system that sees, or carries a sparse box, on a named route.
| Page | Title | Concept (one line) | When the tutor offers it | Illustration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | “Drone” is too wide a word | “Drone” is a family name too wide to invent with. | First beat, before a stack or a flying car. | 01 |
| 02 | The flying piece is not the whole machine | Invent the system: aircraft, ground station, and radio. | After the family name; before cheap hover. | 02 |
| 03 | Not a tiny electric helicopter | Computers change motor speeds instead of helicopter mechanics. | After the system boundary. | 03 |
| 04 | What a small drone can do today | Small camera drones hover, see, and map on short legal flights. | After the electronics swap. | 04 |
| 05 | Batteries are not the only gate | Energy, radio, airframe, and rules must all hold. | After what small drones can do now. | 05 |
| 06 | Flying car is three products | Roadable, personal flyer, and air taxi are not one product. | After the limiter stack. | 06 |
| 07 | The sky is a volume, not a road | Map-crossing paths need not collide; pads still choke. | After the limiter stack. | 07 |
| 08 | Seeing and sparse carrying came first | Inspection and thin medical routes before pizza or driveway cars. | After flying cars and 3D traffic. | 08 |
| 09 | Fly a camera, or fly a box | See (bits) and carry (atoms) fail differently — pick on purpose. | After unlocked use cases. | 09 |
| 10 | Name the local flight | Name who, see-or-carry, what still fails, and what you will not invent. | Last page / invent gate. | 10 |
