Future Forge is inventing practice for emerging technologies, for high-school seniors and up. A teacher can use it with a class. Education is commercial use and needs a license.
Who it is for
Teachers, and students who are high-school seniors or older. Junior professionals too. This is not a program for elementary school. It is not a coding bootcamp and not a full course that replaces a teacher.
License
Personal use is free. A free server you do not charge for, with no commercial intent, is free. A school, university, bootcamp, or training org needs a paid license. So does a company or paid hosting. The terms are in COMMERCIAL.md. Ask with a GitHub issue titled “Commercial license”. There is no checkout on this site.
How a session works
You lead. The AI advises. Invent on the open table: no account, no install, no card. Warmer Sun Cloud is optional (save progress, Continue, lessons). Pick a real place, invent with a capability that just became possible, and see if the idea holds. Hearing about a technology is not the same as using it on a named problem.
Our practice goals are these: a named place, not just AI, a pathway on the curve rather than a snapshot, and you in charge. These are our goals. They are not a claim that Future Forge meets an outside standard or a provincial curriculum code.
One night
Vancouver Public Library, Central branch, 350 West Georgia, Level 6 North, room 690. Two hours. Eight seats. One new technology and a real problem. Beginners are welcome. Free for the people in the room. Be there in the first 10 minutes or the library can give the room away. The next date is posted on Discord.
