1. Who we are

Warmer Sun (Warmer Sun Education, a sole proprietorship in Vancouver, BC, Canada) publishes the website at warmersun.com: essays, product pages, quest catalog files, and community information about inventing practice with emerging technology.

2. The website

warmersun.com is provided for information and education. You may browse it without creating an account. Content may change or be removed at any time. Do not misuse the site (no automated abuse, scraping that harms service, malware, or unlawful activity).

3. Future Forge software

Future Forge is software on GitHub, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). You (or your organization) may install and run it without Warmer Sun Cloud. These website Terms are not a substitute for the project’s LICENSE.md or free-grant / paid commercial terms in COMMERCIAL.md.

Non-commercial use under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 includes self-hosting and sharing with attribution and share-alike. Additional free grants (documented in COMMERCIAL.md) cover host-present meetings and free online servers with no charge. Education is commercial use — schools, universities, bootcamps, and training organizations need a paid Education license. Companies and paid multi-tenant hosting need a commercial license.

4. Warmer Sun Cloud (optional)

Warmer Sun Cloud is an optional hosted account and API service (identity via Clerk, stored runs and leaderboards in our database). It is not the playable engine. The game may run unsigned; Sign in is how Cloud remembers you across devices. A player-facing summary of the extras is at warmersun.com/cloud.

If you Sign in you agree that we may store the Cloud data described in our Privacy notice (quest log, Continue snapshot without inline pictures, profile, pins, achievements, and a leaderboard row for catalog quests you hold). Pathway write-ups on a quest board are public. A vision still may appear on that board only while you are in the current top 3; we do not keep a public dump of every hold.

You will not submit unlawful, hateful, or sexual content involving minors, or impersonate others on display names or write-ups. We may hide a still or row, or close an account, if we believe it harms players (including a young audience). Cheating the official board (fake scores, automated abuse) is not allowed.

Cloud is provided as-is. We may change, rate-limit, or pause it. Self-host without Clerk keys remains ungated: that copy does not write to our Cloud.

School or company hosting of Future Forge as a business is still a written license, not these website Terms alone.

5. Quest catalog

Public quest JSON under /future-forge/quests/ may be downloaded by Future Forge clients for official Sponsored and Learning tiles. Catalog content is provided as-is for learning and invent practice. Partner interest in Sponsored Quests is described at warmersun.com/sponsor; catalog placement is by written agreement with Warmer Sun, not by these website Terms alone.

6. No warranties

The site and materials are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

Site branding, design, and original text belong to Warmer Sun unless noted. Third-party marks (Discord, X, GitHub, etc.) belong to their owners. Future Forge licensing is governed by its repository license documents.
