A good invent for Kiln Hall says what is measured, where, who is told before Saturday, and what is never filmed. Name how the reading reaches Mara at home. Name what she does about a false alarm. Name who keeps the model honest after the first month.

A factory brand is not the idea. A headset is not the idea. The whole town becoming a model is not the test.

If Mara could know the wall from her kitchen on Friday night, you have the idea.

The tempting mistake is to wait for the plaster to fall, because that is when everyone agrees the drawing was old.
