What is live in 2026

This is live, not only a brochure.

Factories run live models of whole plants. In 2026 Siemens launched a tool for composing such models, and a large drinks company used it to try plant upgrades in the model before touching the real floor. NVIDIA sells the same pitch to industry: model the line, change the model, then move the real machines.

Water in buildings is a smaller version of the same idea. Leak tools combine flow, sound in the pipes, pressure, and moisture. In 2026 the UK water regulator funded work to find and predict leaks on the building side of the meter, not only in the street main.

Kiln Hall is not a factory. A small model of one wall and its pipes is the honest size, and the parts to build it are ordinary.

The tempting mistake is to think only a factory can afford a live model.

That is what lets you hear the limits without giving up.
