The family

The family is quantum computing. It uses quantum effects for certain hard calculations that ordinary bits approximate badly. Cloud access is where it sits now. A finished materials proof, and a machine that opens public-key locks, sit further along the curve. They are forecasts.

Ordinary computers stay. They keep the sheet, the specs a contract can already check, and the city's everyday work. The afternoon does not replace them. It is one piece of a pathway, beside a partner and a plan.

In the workshop, Unrun Piece is the partner's piece treated as done. Early Signature is a board signing for a later machine. The Announcement is the only sentence prepared: the liner will last.
