What the afternoon holds

The capability under that milestone is a small hybrid calculation. An ordinary computer still does almost all of the work around it. The booked machine holds one hard piece, not the city's water main, not the contract, and not the archive.

It is not a faster laptop. A payroll run, a photo, and an attempt to open the city's old locks are the wrong shape. A large enough machine may, later, finish the math behind those locks. As of the end of September 2026, none has opened the common 2048-bit form. That later forecast is not Friday's run, and the steps of that break are not this lesson.
