Catch, then lift to shore

A river catch is a short physical path, not a magic vanish:

  1. Barrier / guide — floating barriers steer trash instead of letting it keep going downstream.
  2. Extract — conveyors or similar machines lift debris out of the water.
  3. Shore path — material goes to bins, trucks, sorting, or a local waste bank. It does not disappear.

Barrier guides trash → extract → shore sorting.

People, permits, and maintenance still matter after storms and floods. Treat “automation” as assisted lifting and sensing — not a robot that runs itself forever with no one watching.

If there is no shore path, you only relocate a wet pile.
