Piece: Name Defense Desk
Status: rejected_at_publish_gate (not publishing)
You post: yourself (agents never post)
This file is the client publish pack. Write for the human who will post — not for agents. No Purple Cow / Alchemy / pipeline jargon. No paths to verdict/stimulus files on the front page.
What this is
A public photo + caption about name custody. The still is a hand stamping SKIP across a practice page that already pretends to carry a byline. The caption is the rule and the four legal moves.
This is not a product tour, not a signup form, and not a retelling of any real researcher’s incident. Props are practice composites only — fake AI-looking pages, not a real submission.
Why it might stop a scroll: in one frame, people whose name is part of their work see the nightmare made physical — text that already wears a name, and a human stamp as the only gate out.
Photo / still to take (if needed)
- Face of the post: practice page with a byline already filled — invent a fake expert name, or leave a blank and write your name in before you stamp.
- Hand mid-stamp — prefer SKIP — across that byline. Show the act of refusal or custody, not kit assembly, not a product screenshot.
- Optional in-frame: paper tear-off reading I Did Not Approve This, and/or a mini card: prepared for your review · you send.
- Small footer on the practice page only: practice props · not a real submission.
Do not use a real researcher’s name, email, or news screenshot as props.
If you print the kit for yourself first (order that forces the friction):
1. Write your name on the byline field yourself
2. Read one short fake AI page under that name
3. Stamp once (KEEP / CHANGE / SKIP / SEND only)
4. Optional reverse print: I Did Not Approve This

Short caption
Nothing leaves with your name without your stamp.
Four moves only: KEEP · CHANGE · SKIP · SEND.
Text can already travel under a real expert’s name.
This desk makes the human gate physical first.
Your name is inventory. Hold the stamp.
LinkedIn / long post (if used)
Nothing leaves with your name without your stamp.
That’s not a productivity tip. It’s a custody rule for people whose name is part of the product.
Synthetic text can already travel under a real expert’s name and email without a human keep / change / skip / send step.
Growth culture will call refusal theater “Luddite.” Craft people will recognize the nightmare.
Name Defense Desk is simple on purpose:
• a practice page that already wears a byline
• four stamps only — KEEP · CHANGE · SKIP · SEND
• the exact sign above
• a paper tear-off that says I Did Not Approve This
• a mini card that says prepared for your review · you send
Order that forces the friction:
1) write your name on the byline field
2) read one short fake AI page under that name
3) stamp once
4) optional refusal print
What this is not: another essay on “be careful with AI,” a feature tour, an email-capture QR, or someone else’s real incident recycled as our case study.
People like us do not let systems (or strangers) ship under our name without an explicit gate.
Optional variants
Nothing leaves with your name without your stamp.
KEEP · CHANGE · SKIP · SEND — only.
1/
Nothing leaves with your name without your stamp.
That’s the whole sign.
2/
Four legal moves only:
KEEP · CHANGE · SKIP · SEND
No “maybe later.” No email-capture stamp.
3/
Practice page that already pretends to be yours.
One stamp. Optional paper receipt: I Did Not Approve This.
4/
If you share a second face, call it Refusal Gallery —
SKIP stamps only. Not a send count.
5/
No product hero. No lead form.
Your name is inventory. Hold the stamp.
Exact wording to keep (if any fixed lines)
- Sign: Nothing leaves with your name without your stamp.
- Stamps only: KEEP · CHANGE · SKIP · SEND
- Refusal receipt: I Did Not Approve This
- Souvenir line: prepared for your review · you send
- Process truth (small): practice props · not a real submission
- Optional share name: Refusal Gallery (SKIP stamps only)
Do not add when you post
- No signup form, “get the kit” link, or lead-capture QR
- No product feature tour as the hero of the post
- No live “book a table” desk invite
- No real researcher’s name, email, or incident as the story
- No fifth stamp; no “maybe later” / schedule option on the prop
- No public SEND-count wall; if a secondary face exists, SKIP-only Refusal Gallery
- No celebrating send tallies as the proof of success
